Association Donations Income
The association relies principally on the donations of the St Joseph and St Georges Church congregation in the designated donations box in the Church.
Twice a year fundraising “Dinner for the Brethren of Christ”. By mail to the association mailing address or by e-Transfer to the association email.
The association is registered with the governments of Canada and Quebec and gives tax receipts for all donations. Make sure your donation either by check or cash is identified with your name, address and phone number.
Support Our Cause
St Joseph Association was founded in the year 1994 by blessed memory Father Arsanios Serry. The number of families back then was 20. Today the association supports 1251 families from different Churches geographically dispersed across Egypt, 4 orphanages and sponsoring the education of nursing students at Santa Verena Nursing Academy.
The Association has been informed by some donors that many members of the congregation are not aware of the existence of the Association. The Association appreciates the help of all the congregation to spread the word about its existence and its mission.

Expenses
All work done is through volunteering. There are no operating expenses, other than Bank charges and the Association registration. Approximately 100% of contributions go to association services.

Mechanism of Selection
The case of each needy family is studied by the father and servants of the local Church in Egypt. An Application for Assistance is filled out for each family listing, number of family members, age, family status, income, expenses, dwelling and other information related to criteria of selection. The applications are presented to the association counsel with recommendation for acceptance and recommended aid. The association counsel studies the cases and decides on acceptance and amount of aid based on criteria, budget and need compared with other families
